Our history
In 2015 a group of woman met for dinner dressed as witches. It was such a fun evening that they decided to do this as an annual event & give back to the community. What started with 10 woman has grown to 150+ woman.
Our Mission
Witches Granting Wishes is an annual event to brighten the Holidays for many of San Diego’s underserved children. All participates or “witches” are required to pre-register and are assigned a child in need, identified through a program at the Toby Wells YMCA and participants grant this child’s specific wish. The day of the witch party, participants come dressed as a witch and bring their unwrapped gift(s) or “wish” in- hand for their specific child. The witch party is a collection event for the “wishes” and a celebration of women coming together to help our community’s less fortunate children. Following the witch party, all gifts are delivered to the Toby Wells YMCA where they are distributed to these deserving youngsters. Admission Price: Granting a Child’s Wish.
